What Should I Make My Story About? (Poem)

Maybe I'll write a story today,
something exciting! Not boring or grey.
But what will my story be about?
I guess I will just think aloud...

Mystery, Fantasy, Nonfiction, or what?
Maybe a crazy man, who lives in a hut.
No, that's to boring, not exciting or cool,
or maybe a king, who refused to rule.

Those ideas there okay, but i need something better,
like a cat with an attitude, or an old talking sweater.
I can't seem to think of anything sane,
but so many ideas, my head is in pain!

My brain is not working, it's swamped with ideas,
this truely is one of my greatest fears.
I know that sounds crazy, but I am no liar.
Yes, writer's block, for I have not been inspired.

I have many ideas, but which are the best?
I'm asking you now, to put them to the test.
I might have to give up, I can't seem to think,
but so far, all of these ideas stink!

Yes, quitting time, I know that i tried,
but sadly, my brain is basically fried.
So listen up here, I have something to say,
maybe I won't write a story today.
