I totally agree ex804, when it comes to the storyline being almost no different than going out and defeating crabs for John Smith.
Here's one thing which upsets me when it comes to quests. There's not really a uniqueness when it comes to them. It's not like there's a quest where we need to go on a mangled, burning ship in the middle of the ocean, and save someone that might be below decks, or search for a key on the ship before it sinks.
Wouldn't you agree that might be more exciting than going out and getting a few fish? I sure would, and I'm sure Disney people would agree. The probably is, I don't see the creativity in Disney any more. If they had half of the imagination of players, the game would be amazing when it comes to quests.
With that being said, look at the Ravens Cove quest text. We need to lure ghosts to grave areas and defeat them. Key word there, lure. We also need a dowsing rod to search for something according to the text.
Does this not show that they're splitting the quests between dirty work and exciting, mysterious things to do? I certainly would.
