The Black Cauldron

After discovering that it will come out on DVD June 2010, i've been all hyped up and in the mood in watching this Disney movie..

From what i've heard(read) the movie isn't really that populer when it comes to Disney movies and isn't exactly liked much..

1. Parents think it's too scary for their kids to watch. (You should make them watch "Something Wicked this way comes")
2. Because it 'differs' from the books to much. (Common problem when it comes to movies based on books. There's worse..)
3. Not many people know about the movie.

Which is pretty weird, i always thought it was populer. Even the main villain appears in the Disney Villain's Beach Towel that i have!

Anyways, haven't seen the movie in years but from what i remember, the movie stars a boy named Taren who has to protect the Oraculer Pig, Hen Wen from the clutches of the movies main villain, who wants Hen Wen to show him the location of the Black Cauldron. While Taren and Hen Wen travel through the forest, Taren loses Hen Wen and meets Gurgi. Then he and Gurgi find Hen Wen, but Hen Wen is being chased by these Dragon critters and is captured! Taren chases after them to the lair of the main villain: The Horned King.

Leave it at that, as i dont want to muck the summery to much. Just a reminder, this topic is based on the Disney Movie: The Black Cauldron. You may say you liked the books better, but i do not want to see comments like "The movie sucked! They killed the books, the books rule" or anything like that. Dont like it? Dont comment..

Anyways, has anyone else seen this forgotten Disney movie?
