Ahoy everyone!

I've been a member of this site for some time and have been reading the threads semiregurarly. Because of that it feels like I "know" most of the regular posters, but nobody knows me and I thought it would be polite to introduce myself.

I am Simon Redbeard, both here and also most of the time in the game (in the game Simon can be recognised from his red beard, suprisingly enough). The game-Simon is level 18 but made some dumb choices earlier on and I think I'll start a new Simon soon. I don't have much time to play nowadays, so I don't know how fast or slow he will level up. Have to find a good work-to-POTCO balance.

And, I have to mention:

1. I am a part of the very small minority of players that hasn't seen any of the movies. My wife has seen the first one and has it on DVD and would like to watch all three of them, in a what could be called a Pirate-marathon, with me since I have an interest in seeing the movies now also. (It's a bit of an unusual sequence of events that lead me to this game, but I don't think I'll share it, at least yet...)

2. All of my male characters wear the tricorner hat, because it is the only hat to consider for male characters, I don't want my pirate to suffer from the hot Caribbean sun when sailing. Female characters seem to have a much better selection of clothes at the moment, but that may be just in my head...

3. This is a good game, but the level-balancing thing(s) need some rethinking, really.
