Well , I was in a similar predicament such as you ,
I was a member of a great guild , everyone was friendly
and masters at PvP. But as lack of new content started to take hold of most of the guild members and the Gm they started playing less, then the Gm broke his arm,
and just stopped playing entirely. So I thought about what I should do, knowing only a few guilds,
but none that I wanted to join, I brought up the option to make my own
and here 2 months later I'm Gm of the Barbary Korsairs and have 160 members,
and I'm enjoying it very much.

In the event that you do make your own guild,
there is a POF thread that has advice on running guilds. Being Gm of a guild is it self
from my opinion a plus but can also be a pain at times, of course that depends how
the situation goes for you, like if you get a ton of low lvl players lvl9-19 asking for help
then it can become a pain if you do not have any main officers to help out.
