does anyone if link accounts are coming

Disney will not link your accounts back. What they will do is transfer a character to a new paid account so members of the same household can both play at the same time.

However...

You have to email them a valid reason for the transfer , there are other things that need to include in the mail as well. Give them a hollar or an email and they will let you know exactly what they require.
