The Navy has once again made plans to remove all pirates from the Caribbean. Well disguised, the navy has snuck into Tortuga in hopes to take the pirates out in the dead of night. Now the pirates must realize who's loyalties lie where...

Pirates of the Mafia is a contest here on POF based on the classic parlor game called Mafia. Mafia is a game of deception and deduction, where you must locate the loyalties of the others in the game. For those unfamiliar with Mafia, here are the basic mechanics of the game.

• All players are randomly split into two groups, in this case it is "The Navy" and "Pirates"
• During the Day Phases of the game, the pirates will work together to decide who is a member of the Navy in disguise.
• During the Night Phases, the navy will vote one pirate out of the game.

While the Navy shall know who is navy and who is pirate, they will be outnumbered by the pirates. In order to win the game, one of two things must happen. For the pirates to win, they must wipe out all members of the Navy. However, if the Navy outnumbers the pirates before the pirates can lynch them, they shall be the victors!



So, how do you play the game? Simple, you talk, talk, talk, talk, talk! Communication is key to this game, as you must discuss with the fellow players to learn who is pirate, and who is a navy spy. If you don't talk much, it is possible that you may be the wrongful victim of a lynching...
