I know I have seen this somewhere but...
I have been searching the threads for a kind of "how to" for taking screenshots to include with my bug reports. I WAS using F9 - used that for a long time with no trouble and suddenly, whenever I hit F9 I get a critical error and the computer shuts down. I have filed reports with mircrosoft but they have no explanation... Here is my question: Is there another way to take a snapshot of the screen without using F9? Thanks for you help!

Press the button that says "PrtScn". It is to the right of your keyboard, on top.
Then just copy and paste on to Paint or something.

Yep, crimsonDOOM is right.
Hit Print Screen, or on some other keyboards "prt scr". Then go into the Start menu, All Programs, Accessories, Paint, then hit CTRL and V at the same time when in paint to paste the picture into paint. Then edit your picture all you want

CTRL + ALT + PRTSCN takes screenshot of selected window only. saves you messing around cutting out backgrouand and desktop.
