The best thing about potco is it's friend and guild system, it makes everything so great, you can even teleport right to one of your friends!

The way the game actually works. There is actually a goal to this game and I like the graphics. I don't like the lag though.

One of my favorite things is that you have an option to enter a room rather than just going in whenever you touch the door.
In toontown if you accidentally bump a door you are automatically put into that room even when you did nto wish to go there. I think this is a minor thing but it is one of the things I like about POTCO over TT.

Even though sailing around can take forever... The graphics are very good- Things like the sky, and ships will reflect on the water- Night turns to day as you sail...
A few things changed from beta 1... Now you can't be on land, and see a player on their ship... In beta 1 you could shoot/kill crabs from your ship with cannons... Now being on the water is like another part of the game, on another part of the server... We also lost graphics that showed us what part of ships we were attacking... Seeing ships sink is pretty cool... but I kind of wish they would have used the "Desktop Game" (they let us keep), in POTCO some place, like P Vs P, or something... After they changed our accounts (to the basic, free version), no more ships, I didn't even want to log-on... I did expect to see our own rooms below deck, on each (like houses in Toon Town)... Well, they could be saving that for next year, I guess..? (an extra $100) Good luck on your key...

Optimised for Vista, and it Doesn't disconnect from my router connection like toontown does.
As for gameplay, I think the best thing about it is the combat system, It's pretty simple but you actually have to do something rather than just push a button or two. |

the quests and combat and ships and....ditto to everyone. I like that it is not like vmk and you don't have a time limit for quests.

teleport, hands down...
being able to have people jump on the ship or help out at any given notice within seconds is so damn great! |

I would say a combination of what DrStinglock said and that you actually see people wandering around the deck

There is a lot to like.
I really enjoy the combat. The combos and flourishes were well done. I'm not very far into the story, but I find it intriguing. The best part though, in my opinion, is the entire system of using crews for ships. I think this part of the game was very well done. Some of the most fun is grabbing a few people and then heading out to see to do some plundering. Just make sure you get a good captain. |

Also, I can't help but comment on the autolooting feature in this game..
Seriously, it eliminates the need to trade each time you come into port. You land, you automagically cash in/divide it up. Possibly if this only happened at manned ports it would make more sense, or if manned ports gave more $$.. Seems a bit strange that I can land on rumrunners isle and get $650 Gold paid to me from a deserted island. Still, WAAAYYY more to like in this game than dislike. |
