ok, im pretty sure the basic notoriety cap is 12. HOWEVER.
That just means thats when you stop receiving notoriety points for weapons/quests. If you find "treasures" you still get 25 notoriety per treasure, allowing the basic members to achieve higher notoriety. Notorietys above 14 with a basic pirate generally mean they had an unlimited account before. |

Reconfirming it tonight, it has changed yet again. Doll does stop giving rep at level 5. Notoriety cap seems to still be 12. (Well, at least, this hour. Roll the roulette wheel again in sixty minutes, to see what the new limit is.) Last edited by Edward Edgemenace; 09-27-2008 at 03:47 AM.. |

I'm a basic too, and now I'm lvl 18.
I was lvl 15 or 16 before the free unlimited weekend and lvl 17 when it ended, but then I started doing the clothes quests (I'm finishing the first one) and got to lvl 18. I guess that, if It is possible for basics to do the second clothes quest, I will reach lvl 19. There are some side quests available for basics, which are very few, but let them get a little more reputation. However, at the end every basic will need to upgrade to unlimited if they want to continue playing, cause basics don't get any reputation for killing enemies once they reach weapons cap (in my case was lvl 7 but I've seen that some things have changed lately, such as that now basics are not able to buy lvl 2 weapons, and I could some months ago, so the most probable thing is that the weapons cap may be lvl 5 now) And talking about the dagger quest, basics are not able to do it unless they do it during a free unlimited weekend as Edward said. See ya. |
