Ya when i first started playing in november i had no knowledge of anything in the game(except that you get sword). I didnt understand the different colors of names. I remember when i first started seeing purple names. It was strange to me since everyone i saw before was either gold or gray. I do remember getting frustrated because didnt know where enemies were (i wish they had the ray of light guiding you to enemies before). It was fun.
Oh and i first saw the Guardians in December and all those high levels in the guild. So i asked if i could join and they let me in. I joined the Guardians 4 days after it was created and was in it from lvl 18 -40. Those were the days.:-)

Do you guys remember that long trip to Cuba for the first time to see Tia for the Doll quest? Seems like you were saiing forever in that little sloop.

Course the funny one was taking your little sloop to Padres for the first time and going by all those big ships and almost making it and got nailed each time! :-)

lol - Back when you could buy a ship before talking to Elizabeth Swan (and hitting level 2) I managed to get a pirate to PDF in his light sloop - WHILE STILL LEVEL ONE! Now I think the only way a lvl 1 could get there, is from crew matching or a guild-invite code. I think I have a picture of him standing on padres beach...

It was tricky, killing enough cadets to get enough gold, without hitting lvl 2. Skipping the cutlass training, meant that he had no sweep. No compass from Tia Dalma makes sailing really hard. With no pistol, even level 1 gravediggers are a challenge, when they team up on ya. Fun, fun!

Hehehe... I remember trying to sail to PDF and sinking like 4-5 times before I just decided to SWIM there! I jumped in the water off PR and swam all the way to PDF where there was not even a single other player on there, lol. I ran aroun dteh island, died a couple times and swam back to PR after trying to sail off once or twice.

OH! And the time I was in Cuba and my ship sink when I tried to leave... but I'd gambled all my gold away so I couldn't repair my ship and had to swim from Cuba to PR.. XDDD

Good times...

When I was a total noob I thought guild names were like a rank. LOL

I remember having to put something heavy on the key to keep swimming because it took like 20 mins each time XD

Yea, i remember those days. Hmm, how long was that ago? Umm, 2 weeks. :-) But im am sure I will look back on those days,

LOL well i guess you can consider any past days the good ol' days just as long as they are days and not a day.:-)

I don't even remember those days! :-) But my friend leveled up with me and she had a hilarious story when she was a low level. Three basic access members bumping into a rock crab on Devil's Anvil (or giant, as i know there is one somewhere). This rock crab killed her one friend and started attacking her, however her other friend said "no don't do it i'll save you, leave it to me" So she takes a step back so save her a trip to jail, when this second guy is now killed by this crab. "NOOOOOOO!"...what a tragic day... I was watching my friend play that night, never laughed so hard before. But the one thing i do remember from the good ol' days was no cheating, and i didn't get unlimited access until about level 10-12, so i remember a lot of whining about how unfair it all was :-)

Also, that guy that died trying to save my friend, he's in our guild now and is still the same level, while we're both 40 and 36 lol, as he still has basic access.

My pirates when I start them out usually go from levels 1-20 very fast.

I do remember my first pirate though... I was a loner, and never asked for anyones help.
Took awhile and there were times id try to beat a mob I needed over and over and over.

(i remember the brigands for the PR teleport being the hardest at the time).

Yeah who can forget that dying every half a minute, yup those were the bad ol days
