Super jump/run

I'm really getting sick of this jumping super run glitch that these pirates keep doing. It looks a lot of fun out of PvP, but when you have to resort to an unfair advantage in PvP it's just ridiculous. I'm quite proud to admit i've only been beaten once in PvP against a jumper (lol and two other 'normal' pirates on me too) but with all the 'rules' of no voodoo or tonics, it's usually the jumpers that say no voodoo just do you can't chain them down and keep them still while you throw in a brawl with the cutlass.

I've heard that you pull a combo or something to get into that jump thing, anyone know how to do it? I never PvP anyone but friends now due to all the cheating and glitching through walls and everything. Anyone know how to do this super jump/run thing anyway, i'm curious. If you don't want it to be spread them PM me about it, if not i'd like it public to be fixed, or at least stop it from happening in PvP.

Most of the people who are still on the board, swordjump, it's sad, they just wanna stay on the leaderboard I guess. Don't do PvP much anymore so I fell off the Top (100) Pirates for PvP board earlier in the summer coz the whole PvP thing now is pretty unfair with all that craziness happening....they always "agree" no tonics/vodoo, but then almost ALWAYS someone toncis and/or whips out the staff to use their Flamming Skull against everyone. Even my max Determination can't save me against their Concentration & Spirit Lore while they cast it only 3x and everyone dies.

Yea its sad the legth people will go to to win a PvP match. These are some things i think disney needs to do in PvP.

- Voodoo Doll attunement will lose attunement closer than in the game like if in the game its 100 feet in pvp it might be 50 feet.
- Make tonics do less so if holy water in game gives you 1000 health holy water in PvP will give you 500 health.

Holy water gives you 650. not 1000 lol. Another way to kill them is pistol [:

I usually find that my pistol in PvP does so little damage it's a waste of time, and my pistol is very powerful! lol. But yeah, a lot of them are desperate to stick to the leaderboard and brag that they are on there, but half of those top players never fight correctly. Anyway, if anyone know's how to do it i'd still love to try it out, someone was doing it on my ship in SvS once and when i ask they never tell me lol it's like a huge secret.

I found this one on youtube...lemme see if I can snag it again...seems to have been removed. I remember dismissing it as useless at the time. A cutlass combo on a gravedigger. But I can't find it now.

About PvP in general, the only time I try it anymore, is to look at something someone mentions or asks about, here on POF. That is a total of one time, this last week. (And sure enough, on the "wicked thicket" map, someone attuned me from the other end of the map...totally off compass. Good reminder why I never do, anymore.)

It seems as though i'm not getting this.
Any time I go in PVP people say that we can't use the voodoo doll. Well I can take it out and use it so why not?
It seems fare to me although I'd rather use my staff, dagger, pistol, or cutlass.

Am I the only one missing the point here?
Sorry but if we can use it in PVP why not?

As far as jumpers, I hate it when people do that. How i get around that is using my staff.

It was just an example.

Anyway i think the PvP system got overlooked. I think they wanted so form of Player vs Player combat and didnt spead a whole lot of time on it i'm hoping in the future they come out with a better PvP system with a lot less glitches.

They should add a PvP Rules page, like start a game.

Set which weapons you can use/cannot use.
Set the time limit.
Set the score limit.
Set how many people play
Set teams or no teams.
Set if you can use tonics or not

if i forgot anything just add lol, that would be cool though

I figured it out! hold Q+E at the same time as well as space bar while cutlass or dagger is out. I immediately got some PvP requests once they saw me running around like that in Tortuga, but please don't use this to trick in PvP, i won't stoop down to their level to stay on leaderboards.

It's not working for me, in any of those combinations. Q+E+space makes this computer beep. But any of the various combinations make my pirate run and jump no higher/faster than just typing R and setting my stapler on the spacebar.

I hate when i get into a PvP with jumpers. My friend taught me how to jump, but i NEVER resort to that. In my opinion MOST of the people who jump are basically not good at PvP when it comes to playing the good, old fashion way.
