NEW QUESTION: how do you get skill points? plundered items?

I'm not level 8, I was wondering how do I get skill points?

Also when I kill somebody I sometimes get things that are plundered, where are they and can I sell them for cash?

Everytime you advance a weapon to the next level, you get a skill point to "spend"on that weapon. Your skill points can be used to unlock a new skill, or further advance the ones you already have. (lots of good tips on this in the weapons section)

As for plunder, you gain rep, gold, and treasures from it. At this time in the game, there is no trading system (and I personally hope there never is), so it's just something pretty for your journal, a little rep and some buck. (check out the plunder threads)

The treasures you receive can be found/seen by pressing the U key and reviewing the various categorie of "treasures" listed.

Once youve received the item, as Sarah said, they are just there for lookin pretty (at least at present). However WHEN you receive them you get 25 Notoriety points, and automatically receive thier value in gold (no need to sell).

As for skill points you can receive 26 skill points per weapon.

You are granted 2 upon activating/unlocking a weapon, and then 24 more being granted one each time you level that weapon up to level 25.

While on the subject, do not be hasty in applying skill points. If you plan on finishing/mastering your pirate/levels, you may not want to put more than one skill point on any skill until further along.
