Grenade Question

Ok i almost feel dumb asking this, but will anyway. I'm at lv25 rep and just finished the quests needed for grenades. I have heard people say they have a little bar on the right side of the screen (like the aim bar for pistols) that determines distance. My question is, does that come at a later level? I'm at level 3 in grenades and don't have it. They all go the same distance each and every time.

Yes it is Long Volley and available at level 4
Put one skill point there then you can press Ctrl longer
to increase your grenade throwing distance.
