Degrading your enemy's effectiveness
With blade weapons there seem to be three main skills that degrade the effectivness of your enemy's attack: 1) Brawl 2) Taunt 3) Throw dirt.
My typical strategy when I face an enemy way above my rep level is to Hit them with a grenade from distance => switch to dagger => Throw daggers (usually at least one will miss) => just as they come in range Throw dirt => switch to cutlass => Taunt => Hack away for all I'm worth => when Taunt/Throw dirt wear off head butt with Brawl. I'm thinking this keeps me using my most effective weapons at the various ranges and keeps the enemy at his least effective. So when I layer Taunt on top of Throw dirt do I get an additive effect? Is the enemy going to miss with more swings when both are active? Seems to me they do. Anyone have any info?" |

I do not know about the effectiveness over the overall attack, however the more 'attacks' you get in, effective or otherwise, the better reps you will earn with the associated weapon.
In other words, I have seen that using "throw dirt" for example, effects the enemy mob for a timed duration that is longer than the recharge time for "throw dirt". If I throw dirt again before the effect from the previous "throw dirt" attack wears off, then it does not add to, or increase the effective time, it appears to have been wasted.. BUT you still got in an additional attack towards rep! |

Thanks Zep and yah I agree the more attacks the more rep. That's a definite plus!!
But I was wondering about two different skills "Throw Dirt" and "Taunt". When both are active at the same time, do they degrade the enemy's accuracy more than if just one is active (additively)? Last edited by Glib; 07-25-2008 at 04:19 PM.. |
