Boarding, got some questions.

I just recently started playing PotC and I must say, I'm a bit hooked.. There are things I would like to see in game and things that are done that I haven't seen in any other game of its genre (walking around on your ship, only game i have seen so far that you can do this)

I do know that it is possible to board, but my question is:
Can you only board Flagships?
Or once you get a 'boarding' skill can you board any ship?
And will Boarding be allowed in the SvS when it comes out?

Right now I'm weighing my options between PotC and PotBS, one thing keeping me with PotC is that it is much more casual and I can have friends on my ship.

Yes, you can only board flagships*

There is no boarding skill, all pirates can board if they disable/grapple an enemy flagship (surviving the ordeal is a whole other matter).

Cant help you with the SvS question, but I dont think so.. any testers wish to elaborate?

* There have been glitchs in the game allowing pirates to temporarily board other ships.. but not in same fashion as presented in the game.

Zep has the answer - only ships with the Flag overhead (curently British, Spanish and French Ghost Ships) and don't know of any 'boarding' skill... I think LOL

And will Boarding be allowed in the SvS when it comes out?

There is no boarding of Players ships in SvS (which I'm currently playing on Test). Ships are attacked by other players via cannons or broadsides and sunk.

Thanks. Good to know.. Just wish there were more boarding of ships.. I think it would be fun.. Especially in SvS PvP.. Right now, from what I've seen and read.. PvP is very limited (arena based is all I know of).

svs boarding may come out later but as of now they dont have it.
