in the chapter quest when you get the creepy map with a snake eating its own tail, on tortuga, where's the dig spot?

R u sure there is a quest of this kind i dont recall seeing anything of a snake eating its tail what is the exact question?

Hmm quest for the Hoop Snake? j/k Not sure what quest your referring to either.

But I know of 5 standard dig spots in Tortuga right off hand.

1. To the right of Fabiola the gypsy, and her wagon, and to the immediate right of Tortuga Graveyard, and theres a steep hill there (behind the town), search the top of the hill.

2. From the back entrance/exit of town, and search grassy area just outside town and to the left.

3. To the right of Butcher Brown, the rop right corner of his area.

4. There is a dig spot in front of Hendry Cutts.

5. To the left of Millies Cottage (Hendry Cutts house), theres a pig... he'll help you root up that dig spot there in the corner!

Whatever dig quest you be on on Tortuga, you should find what you need in one of those!
