"Bugged" Weapons

Has anyone else had problems with their weapons?
Both my Cutlass and Pistol still say "Requires Training To Use" ans are shaded red in the weapons panel even tho they are beyond level 5 and show as such in Skills.
I switched out my pistol for a dagger thinking I would level up another weapon and now it will not let me re-equip it because it thinks I did not complete the training.

I have the same problem. I traded the pistol for the grenade and now I can't change back. I was able to kill enough crabs on Crab Island from the ship. However, I still can't find any crabs that have eaten sharks, so i can't finish doc grog's ingredient list.

The weapon problem I have is I did Barbosa's pistol training but the pistol does not show up in my weapons panel so I cannot equip it. But I can fire it!

did you try the new island? I can't recall the name of it, but on the beta website it says they added a new island. Also, I noticed giant crabs on the beach on Tortuga. Not where the crabs were before, but the complete other side of the beach. I landed in them when transporting and they had me killed before I could move.

The quest for the crabs departed with the character that was wiped out when they cleaned the database so it is not a pressing issue atm. BUT, I do miss my pistol and may be forced to make a new character just so I can have one
Making new characters is part of what testing is all about anyway LOL.
How do you choose it to fire? Or is it just sitting in your f2 slot? That is where mine was until I switched it out for the dagger.

My f2 slot is empty but that's what I press to bring it up.
