Hex Eater Shots
I'm kinda confused on what is so great with these. Could anyone tell me what they do to an enemy?

they lower the enemies voodoo, so if you fire at a gypsy, etc., they can not attack back. Great for leveling up weaker weapons.

I usually give them two shots and they can't use voodoo on you. They just stand there and take the rest of your shots. Sweet. It only works on those enemies who can do voodoo, of course.

watch out though, lately ive been getting hit with poke, swarm and sometimes even curse by undead vodoo users. the hex eater shots seem to make sure they cant cast more powerful spells, so just watch out if your going against stronger enemies, their poke and swarm can still pack a bit of a punch, especially if youve got curse on you

I wish we could cast magic from a distance like the enemies do. I hate having to run up and try to click on the moving target just to get a voodoo shot in. No fair.

Not always. It also happens when you stop attacking for too long, for example to switch targets to a pesky vampire bat that decided to join in.

Those whose pistol build does not include the hex eater shot I strongly urge you to fit it in somewhere. It is a useful skill that must not be left out.

I find hex-eater great. I use it on Undead Piratas, Gypsies etc.
3/4 shots usually disables them =] X

Hex shot will be your best friend you learn how to use it right. Killing three molusks with the weakness swings of a weapon bring much higher rep, than trying to survive and fight something killing it fast. Getting crewed even adds a bonus if what you are working is not jumped by others. ( dual logging come in well for this)
Yes lately gypsies, captains, brinescum, molusk, all seem to be a bit bugged (probably on purpose, LOL) If its been attacked or chased someone before it is glitched, and you just need to kill it to re spawn a fresh one. While I was working on several Molusk at once, if you missed hitting with grenade or something, it wouldn't be long before it reset. Same thing you need to just kill it off. Other than that, it is a easy 100 rep or so on the weapon of your choosing if you have points allocated correctly. |

Yes, I agree. The Hex Shot will be your best friend if you understand how to use it.
Whenever I do PvP I start out with a curse, pull a fire skull with voodoo staff, then throw 3-4 hex's so they cant Life Drain, then of course 1-2 poison shots to get two damage-dealing debuffs. The rest is brawl-n-bladestorm, and drains. I also recommend maxing gouge on the dagger.. it deals some nice damage.

Well in pvp I never found hex shot that worth while. If you do do hex shot don't aim just do quick fire. Bane shot on the other hand, do full aim, and its once of the most powerful attacks, outside some of the glitches.

I wouldn't unlock bane. Not worth it.
Fully charge 2 hex's and they cant do too much. Really depends on their level though.
