I just got my Tortuga teleport totem...

but I haven't the faintest idea how to use it. I go to the map in my Sea Chest and of course it lets me click to teleport, but since the Island I'm on is the only one on the map -- it's quite useless. I've no need to teleport where I already am. There are no arrows to move around the map to find the island I want (like Cuba or Tortuga).

I'm sure there's another way to do this, but I can't figure it out.

I may be stating the obvious but you need to sail to the other islands or teleport to a friend there. The ability to teleport to other islands opens at different stages in the game. Eventually, you'll be able to TP to Port Royal, Cuba and Padres.

Put your mouse on the map, left click and hold and move it around to see where the other places are.

Hold the left mouse button over the map and drag the map around... Torguga is kinda N.E. of Port Royal and Cuba is all the way over on the left side.
