key from a big alligator

i have killed a lot of alligators on tortuga but haven't gotten a key is there a special island i need to kill them on?

Are you sure you are defeating Big Alligators and not Swamp Alligators.

You can find the Big Gators on Cuba if you go in where Tia Dalma is and then go back behind her building. You should also be able to find one in the swamp/pond in the Governor's Garden on PR, Misty Mire on Tortuga and a couple other places I can't think of right now.

Best bet is to go to cuba. In Tortuga theres only 1 or 2 to slay there. Cuba ou can run around just mashing the many there and find the key. It may take up to 15 at one time to get the 1 single key.
