The only way they could work out if you were an adult is requesting your credit card details for verification, but then again kids could "loan" their parents cards :P

i am also a parent and have been coaching my daughter about internet saftey for years that is a big problem with many parents that just dontn have the lines of communication or know how to educate them about and dont mistake mysuggestion as only for adults to be aware of children.... only a suggestion in programming this differation could also be used as a tool on whose chat logs should be monitired more closley speaking from a back end technical type suggestion nad yes it would make adult users aaware that they aare talking to a child not every flippin adult is a predetor...... i am sorry it got u heated....... i do however make sure toopenly ask age when befriending and can usually tell within minutes by the slang, general talk and behavour, thus far i have made friendships that i would like to take beyond the caribbean and feel unfortunate that certain things cannot be shared.... there are ways around it at angle , FOR ALL ASPECTS AND SUBJECT of this topic.... this is what i have found for myself 86% of the ppl i have meet are 30+ in age paying accounts who mostly allshare viewpoint of opting out of partaking in quest with the younger set. just an opinion and suggestion, i am glad u posted and i apprieciate yours |

Even if they don't allow an adult server, for heaven's sake, LIGHTEN UP! I can't say the word "Gremlins" (That's a term I use when a computer's gone wonky. Computer gremlins). I was trying to tell someone we "tore up" a skelly ship and THAT wouldn't go through. I'm trying to get my sister help for the Boss Battle - her pirate's name is Kat Badkidd, and they won't let me type her NAME! I can't even separate it and say Bad Kid. Yet they allow her to have that name...
This is my first Disney online game to play, but I can tell you this story...remember about three, four years ago when Disney started the whole "Magical Gatherings" thing for WDW and DL? And you could download this software, invite all your friends and family that were going on the trip with you, and that way you could get together online, plan you "to-dos", your food options, and they had a chat. Awesome idea, right? My friend and I got in the chat one night and started making plans...we could not use the words "Group", "Peter", or "Mickey." FOR PLANNING A DISNEY TRIP! I think there's protecting, and then there's ridiculous.

the name Lucy use to get blocked as well, I submitted it ot Disney as an addition to their dictionary, a week later they responded saying it had been added and I havn't had problems with people not being able to use my name in chat since.

(Incidentally, if I can say this here...Lucy is Kat's real name...if not for you, she woulda been stuck either way...)

Here Here!
I couldn't agree more! Most of the players I run in to are adults anyway - so one (or several) servers would only make sense.
I received a "Shame on you" e-mail from Disney yesterday. What I don't understand is how totally random it is. I've said MUCH worse (and yes, I even managed to give out my e-mail) and never heard a peep from them. Now all of a sudden I'm under scrutiny? The point Disney is TOTALLY missing is WHO PAYS FOR THE GAME??? It's certainly not the little kiddies.... GIVE THE ADULTS THEIR OWN SERVERS!!! |

![]() That would make sense, but wouldn't the parent be asking why you would need their credit card info? If a parent wouldn't ask for that they would need some help.. I think it would be better to both, kids and adults, for seperate servers. Since then it would give kids a little "added security" and adults more freedom. Although I could see a problem with younger family members. Unless adults could not go onto the kids servers and kids would need permission from the adult they wish to go to on adult servers. Try sending it to disney!
