what do you all recommend as far as placing the last ten points under this skill?

If you're like me and have trouble with the aiming part, I find a quick way to level up is blowing up Undead Grenadier, as they don't move. That and firing hex shots at Undead Gypsies to disable them and firing at them.
But I'm a lowly level 5. 'Nades perplex me. Editted to say I shoulda read Lucy's link first. I felt all smart for a moment...hehe..

I masterd grenades on my second pirate and decided on it to skip a lot of the grenades. I only have the basic explosives, flame bomb and seige charge. Then placed skill points on only these grenades and the passive points. I know you rep higher with smoke bombs but It takes more of them to kill one stump then the rest of the grenades. So in the same amount of time you can kill a few stumps with the other grenades and still rep fast. Also if you are one of those people that hate grenades or do not plan on really using them then I would put more points on the passive skills then on the grenades themselves.

Grenades are all about money: when they were easy to level up, I loved them more than my son (sorry Tommy!). Nowadays, they're slower, and less fun: I don't bother with Kingshead, and just go to Cutthroat. They're, like mentioned above, I go to get Gyps and Diers. Kingshead got tiresome at 24 noto, level 17 nades.
I just put one point in each of the nades with my test. My test is to have two points in each skill ya know, so there are a bunch of excess ones. Last edited by League; 05-29-2008 at 10:42 PM.. |

Once they turned grey, then it's not really worth it to stay in Kingshead. I got to level 22 before that happened.
I've had good luck on PDF beach, especially when two gypsies stop right next to each other. Drain both, then grenade them for a two-fer. |

Not sure why, but I am sure I never reached nearly that high a level in King's. Seems like it was like level 14, maybe up to 17 before they were grey.
The next phase I did was Gypsies, while working a little in pistol as well with hex shot each time. This gave points enough to add to take aim and sharp shooter to start working on Molusk. Yup, back side of Padres is good for two Gypsies. While taking out Urchinfist and seebeards would set up getting two molusk at the same time. Though now you can hold more, don't count out smoke bomb, even last few 3 hits or so to kill something. |
