Level 40 pirate master question...

I know that when I "master" a weapon (at skill level 25) I no longer obtain further "reputation" points when using this Skill/Weapon, either for that weapon, or for notoriety.

What I was wondering is, that if one attains the esteemed notoriety level 40, are they able to continue mastering thier weapons, or does that put an end to any 'rewards' other than gold/treasure items in the game?

Can we still accumulate weapon level/skill points once we get to Notoriety 40?

Yes we can.
My level 40 pirate hasn't maxxed in grenade (skill level 24)
and still get rep points when using grenade at enemies.

Cool, was worried, that I had better choose my preferred weapons for mastering NOW before I hit that lvl 40 mark!

Once you hit lvl 40, you will have a few weapon lvls left to fully master the pirate. However at lvl 40, you will not gain any more notoriety reps. Just weapon reps.
