Beg for Entrance!

Well, not really... my guild with The Artful Dodger is called The Begger's Guild. This Guild is all about team warfare, strategic battling, group interaction, and the like. To join as an Officer, I require two things:
1. You have to be a member &
2. You have to have a blank pirate.
I require these things because of the way the Guild is gonna function. Anybody can join, but only new pirates ready to fully maximize their skill points can become Officers. Hence there is reason for these two stipulations.

The Guild needs reliable pistolmen for PvP. Basicly, I want people willing to invest all their primary first few skill points to get the most effective shots in PvP in group mass. For instance, I want a gunner with 5 invested in Bane Shot and 5 in Shoot and Take Aim, as well as the passives. When combined with a Hex-Eater man and Venom man of similar investment, our Guild can take down anything. Now, you don't have to go this route if you don't want to. Not every officer has to dedicate their points like that, but some have to. Granted, not every officer is going to use their pistol for PvP, so eh: if the pistol is a weapon you don't plan on using much, or if it is a weapon you're willing to dedicate the points to for the Guild (the dagger will benefit as well), you can claim the office of an officer by just forming your pistol as such.

The Guild needs reliable cannoneers for ship battles. I already have strategies for ship warfare that are top notch. Anywhoo, I want enough dedicated cannoneers to fill a) all the cannons that can fire left/right on a War Galleon & b) all the cannons that can fire left/right on a War Frigate. I simply want a shot like the Firebrand, Fury, Thunderbolt, or even the Grape Shot maxed with proper investment to make that shot as strong as possible. The rest of the points can be used as needed. Not every officer has to dedicate their points like that, but some have to. Granted, not everyone is going to be manning a cannon during a ship battle, so eh. I think people should max this effectively anyway, my guild or not. If you're willing to make this shot as powerful as possible just for the Guild, or for personal interest, you can claim the title of an officer by just forming the cannon as such.

I need reliable sailors for ship battles as well. I need enough people to properly fill a ship and fire in order with as strong broadsides as possible. They also need to be able to allow Open Fire to continue in order strongly. All 3 need to be maxed. Not every officer has to dedicate their points like that, but some have to. Granted, not every officer is going to be at the helm for a ship battle, so they are at liberty to use these points freely if they do either the cannon or pistol schematics. This may be something that many don't want to dedicate points to, and I can understand that.

The cutlass, dagger, grenades and staff are all open to any officer to max as they want. I want the doll to be customized to use for team warfare, but I'm not so sure on how to do that for the Guild. Heal should be maxed, and a point on Cure is good (I just put a point on it for the status buff).

Again, if you're willing to dedicate alot to a dedicated Guild, this one is the one for you.

Well, as a treatise to show what ingenuity this guild is to roam with, I am disclosing tactics I would've rather kept to myself and the Guild. I will post such maneuvers here in this post.
Here I have ship combat maneuver one:

Alright, this hypothetical ship can hold 6 people. It has three cannons on each side, as illustrated:

O. .O
_
O. -O- .O

O. .O

The capital O's with the periods nearby on the far sides are cannons. The O in the middle is the helm. Now, say we are battling a ship on the right. The cannons on the right are to be filled with top notch cannoneers. What about the three people who cannot fire at the ship with the cannons? They are to line up at the helm, firing broadsides on the right and opening fire in order. After one fires, he/she is to get at the end of the line. This is to openly get in as much damage as possible in the shortest and orderliest amount of time. Now, naturally, a War Frigate and a War Galleon each hold more than 6 people, so I'm gonna need more people to fill in those roles. So far, I have... nada. Anyway, these strategies of mine are what requires those who join the guild to use their skill points as such.

So, in order of roles, we have cannons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6. 1, 2, & 3 are on the left. 4, 5, & 6 are on the right. These cannons are to be actively maintained by the best. We have shipmates a, b, c, d, e, & f. a, b, & c are to fill cannons 4, 5, & 6. Shipmates d, e, & f are to line up at the helm. d is to take control, fire his broadside (in this case right), open fire, and possibly activate his leadership ability. Then, he is to leave the helm, and get behind e & f. e is then to take control. He too will fire his broadside, Open Fire, and possibly activate his Leadership ability. He then will leave the helm, get behind f & d, and f will take control. He will do as the others did. Then, they all rinse, wash, and repeat.

It might work but how are you dealing with ship motion (yours and enemy) since all that changing at the helm is going to basically bring your ship to a halt (or at the least drastically reduce your speed)?

Don't the sails go up/down (not sure of direction, but NOT work) each time the helmsman leaves the wheel?

And not for nothing, but there's an awful lot of "I need" in that guild description. It looks like you want a permanent crew instead of a guild. Some might like it but I will respectfully decline.

If you include ship motion, there is no need for these maneuvers simply because I'll be steering my War Sloop and staying behind ships. These are tactics for direct side-to-side broadfire battles.

I am not looking for a crew, or I'd otherwise join a guild here (many of them here are quite nice and perfectly suitable, save the ones that have level requirements). I just want to make a guild that runs supreme competitively. I guess I'll change it to 'the Guild needs' in the original post.

I have deleted my second pirate (not TAD) and may very well recreate him. I'll join a Guild with that future pirate when I make him.
