OK. I just saw someone that was notoriety 38. I figured they had a few weapons left to level up, then they'd reach Level 40. As I passed them in Tormenta, I was friendly and said 'Getting any good rep?' She said, 'No, I'm getting no rep at all.' I asked why. Her answer was, 'I've mastered all my weapons.' I was taken back for a moment, shocked to hear that a Level 38 had mastered all the weapons. 'The only skill I have left is sailing.' Still, unless her sailing is at Lv 10, there's no way she can reach Pirate Master status without completing the Boss Battle! I still didn't believe that she had failed to reach Pirate Master status. 'Oh, you must be around 20-30 percent on your quest, right?' I asked. 'No, 99%, waiting for the Boss Battle.'

What do you all think of this?

Someone posted a list of the XP requirements for each level, but I can't find it.

From that, it should be easy to calculate how much total XP you get for getting each of the 6 weapons to 25, and compare that to the XP required to get your full notoriety to 40.

I saw a level 40 the other day, so it's possible, but you may have to do some of the other in-game quests besides the BP. I can't think of any that give more than 100 rep, though.

Skill points eat rep, so maybe this person maxed all her skill points.

They don't eat rep, they can just make it so you get less rep per kill.

But that doesn't matter here, because it's the TOTAL rep you get that determines when you level.

If it takes 2000 rep to get to the next level, it doesn't matter if you kill 200 mobs at 10 rep each, or 20 at 100 each. The same goes for the crew bonus.

2 things....Why is she on tormenta if she gets no reps....I'd be out sailing!!

Secondly, check XD and look up her pirate. Best way to determine whats goin on. Angels 3/4 through 38 with a few things mastered (sailing, cannon and doll). She would really have to be a low lvl sailor to be 38 (unless she's a hair from 39) and mastered everything else. Never know, she could be pullin ur chain.....

hmm here are some possibilities;
- did she ever mention cannon? some high lvl 30's i know only have like lvl 7 cannon .-.
- also treasures give rep every time u get a new one although i doubt this would be why
- she might have lied or was exzaggerating
- she might be one of the ones who have not recived certain quests yet so she may not have staff or grenade and if thats the case then no she woulnd get to 40
check her pirate on xd

Thats exactly why you don't master your weaps until after Boss Battle, you don't get any reps for boss battle either.
