Ahoy, Partners.

Yesterday, we became aware of terrible news - our Charlotte Goldcastle, one of our dearest Veterans, was told that her mother had just a short amount of time to live. It was the kind of news that could shatter a heart in their mere ushering, one that captivates the mind and the soul.

We must remind ourselves that we, as a family, undergo the same struggles just as Charlotte does - any grievance or pain that may try to consume her, consumes us as well. Any blow to her, hits us as well. And any tragedy such as this, which occurs to any of use, happens to us as well.

The bonds which we have created through this guild interconnect us beyond the realm of it being "just a game." For most guilds, the family aspect of it cuts itself off as soon as it steps out of Pirates - but not us. We are each other's friends and family as much as we have our own mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. While we are not bonded by blood, nor a common name, we are connected through a common title, which has stood, and shall forever stand the test of time.

We are Partners in Crime.

And no matter who or what tries to prove themselves the dominance in our existence, we must always know that we as a guild have something much more special than a game. The love that flows through our guild is that so much as a home, because we are a home away from home.

And today, this home is under siege, by the potential loss of one of our "distant relatives." We must be strong not only for Charlotte, but for ourselves - for only by feeling what she is going through can we truly unite as one.

So, as of today, I, Delmaria Darkskull, will be taking down the aesthetics of my profile, my avatar, and my signature on these forums, as a sign of respect to one of our own. And it is in my hopes, that by my demonstration of the love we have as a guild, that you may choose to do the same.

I dont know how old u or ur mom is char but i lost my mum to 7 heart attacks and 7 strokes in one month so I will pray for u that you trust that the highest power that be here our hearts prayers for u and that the angels guards your moms soul and make her whole and well,so be it amen.

Char, if you read this, make sure that you spend as much time with your mother as possible. I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose a parent...
