A better way to EDIT screenshots!
Let's face it, using paint sucks. A lot of work, few options, and low quality make you get what you pay for: nothing. Here, I have found a better image editor that is easy to use and learn: GIMP2!
Linky: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ Gimp 2 is FREE and is my preferred image editor. It has a lot of options and lets you do anything from stretch or shrink picture, to add filters! You can do a lot with GIMP and it is, really, one of the best image editors you can get without paying for. Check it out, and let me know what you think. Fair Winds! The Good Doctor. |

GIMP is brilliant!! Same layout as Photoshop same options, I use GIMP for all my creations and I personally think it's much much easier than PS, easy to add fonts and Brushes. Download it

GIMP is fantastic. It's the free version of photoshop. I had photoshop but my computer got wiped so this works great as an alternative.

ahhh the gimp.... well i downloaded Paintbrush, then gimp. I make me backrounds from scratch on paintbrush, then upload it to gimp. I then add text and the other photos. Thats how i edit photos!
Example: Paint- ![]() Now Gimp- ![]() Thats how i make banners/sigs/anything BTW im sorry that it is sloppy, i rushed it for this thread. |

See? I love GIMP. I use it from scaling down pictures to combining symbols from the phase files with screenies to show off to friends. Glad most of you like it!

I'm having problems with Gimp.. do you have to edit the pictures first? I'm still getting alot of white from any picture i place on there.

It's complicated. The screen has a maximum amount of pixels x pixels and your picture has it's own size in pixels x pixels. You can scale the size up and down, but it never automatically makes the picture "fullscreen". If you need to make minute details, it's best to scale it up, do the details, then scale it down.

Yes. Just make sure to save them in .jpeg format. Or you can do a .gif if it's animated.
