Release Notes - October 5, 2010

* Updates:
o Fixed a few memory leaks
o Fixed a server crash involving the 'Defend the Traitor' questline
o Fixed a server crash when reviving another pirate
o Fixed a server crash involving getting rewards during certain quests

i'm just wondering why they didn't do a RELEASE notes, since this bug needs to be fixed on the live server.

Any update they do to live, they do to test first. That's the way the game goes.

My own PC has had a number of issues playing PoTCO since the major update. Hopefully this will fix that soon.

Well looks like it wont open for another 2 hours since they pushed it back. Looks like they handling some major bug issues.

Aye, the sooner these bugs are fixed, the sooner they can give us our next update, likely some new staffs.

New staves will most likely be a side addition to the main release of a month. I would say New Ships with some lore and strange additions to build up to a new chapter of our lore... or a new story chapter itself (unlikely though)

I wonder why it didn't say that it fixed the white shorts (clothing bug/glitch/issue)? :/ Also, the next new update to the test game could be more lore leading up to the kraken because of the whole curse of doom/black spot thing e.t.c.

When a system does not correctly manage its memory allocations(it uses but doesn't give memory back) it is called a memory leak. A memory leak is a bug. issues with this can include reduced performance and failure. They can happen quite a bit with certain web browsers as well as programs in general.

It is entirely possible that they have not found a solution to that particular bug yet.
Plus, this is a test server update. From what I know, the clothing issue/glitch never occurred on test. Some glitches, such as this one, only occur on the Live server.
