Old New Island idea

New Island idea

I've been pondering over this new island and quest idea of mine for some time, so here it goes.

This would be a quest revolving around one island, the name being unoriginal.
Paradise Island
Isla del Paraíso

Landscape: There are no caves on the island, but the island itself is huge. Imagine a completely circular island, with a gigantic water fall in the center, water streaming out from all ends. You can climb up the water fall and onto a place filled with trees, and rocky terrain.

Around the island it's a completely jungle, filled with old shacks(not burnt) and LIVE animals. I say this, because any animals in the game or insects that we have are dead. If you look at their texture, they're zombie like. If you've played beta, you'll know that they looked very lively at the start of the game, but then the developers put Jollys Face by their health, and they turned dead looking.

Wasps, crabs, alligators, etc... will be untouched by Jolly on this island, because of a mysterious force, protecting the island from hidden dangers. On the island, there are no living people, only the souls of the people that once lived on the island.

Besides the island looking very beautiful, it's completely safe from undead ships. Undead ships that sail too close to the island sink, because while under the control of Jolly Roger, with all the holes and broken sails, they can still float. But as they approach this island, they're doomed, and sink, so that when you approach the island, there are many undead ships pilled to one edge of the island. You can eve swim and walk on them when you dock.

Island Story: Paradise Island was, and still is a lost island, found by very little people. Once, a small crew of people were stuck in a hurrican while sailing from England to live in the Caribbean. They survived the chaos of the storm, but when they awoke they were stranded on an island out in the middle of no where. As far as the eye could see, there was no one. No ships, other islands, nothing.

They built a small camp, and lived on the far edge of the island. Some times they would build shacks in the middle of the island by the water fall, or in some other random spots. They did this so they could hunt for giant scorpions, crabs, bats, etc..., to eat. For years there was no one to be seen, so the small crew let go of any chance for life in the Caribbean.

Almost a decade after they're arrival, they met Jolly Roger. He was looking for new territory for his undead army, and stumbled across the island. Upon finding the stranded crew, he wanted them off the island. Being the generous skeleton that he is, he gave them two options. Join his crew as the undead, or be doomed to walk amoung the island as lost souls forever after he took their lives.

Lucky for them, one of their crew members had studied for the last decade the art of voodoo, and demanded a fight for Jolly Roger. The battle between the voodoo crew man and Jolly Roger ended in the defeat of the voodoo man, but using the last of his powers he put a 'curse' on the island, so that no undead would ever be able to return to the island.

Jolly became extremely weak, and so did his undead army, so they had to leave, but not before taking the lives of the rest of the crew. Just like Ravens Cove, the crew walks the island, as good souls, seeking to defeat Jolly Roger for good.

Quest: Not going into detail, but it would involve helping the crew defeat Jollys Army, and in return they would give secrest to finding Forbidden weapons to defeat Jolly Roger. These weapons would be more powerful than legendary weapons, and the background would be black. Other than that, I have no idea what the skills would be, although each would have TWO special skills.

And that's it for this island idea.
EDIT: If I hadn't mentioned this already, I realized if you've read the Raven's Cove quest text this is extremely similar to the quest, although I'd like another island quest with weapons, so that we can build up to a Jolly Roger quest, where we'll have the help of Ghosts to defeat him, and ghost powers... sort of.

I'd just like the Jolly Quest to be about how he's been so evil to people, and in the end all the people he's done wrong to end up destroying him, so there's a bit of irony.

I'm thinking, if there's two islands he's done wrong to, then we get a sense of how bad he actually is.

creative, interesting, fun, AWESOME! This is a great idea for a quest, but i would still love the other Ravens Cove quest because it could lead to other things in the game and it doesn't revolve around the one island, still a great idea though mate.

Nice I like the Idea, and it does sound a lot like ravens, but it's all original. The story line for helping the ghosts for weapons bigger than Legendary is something I think we can all look forward to.

Hmm, A special on a weapon that would increase health, and endurance while summoning the rage of 13 ghosts and a burst of ghostly strength like the oragutang cutlass ??

Quest idea:
How about Pirates brings back true undead flagships like the Phantom, or better the Death Omen Flag ship..shivers. I I can imagine Widow Threadbarren having a family heirloom aboard one. Only you can't get it off the firt one, ye got to hunt for it.

that sounds a lot like ravens cove and after they just installed it, it wouldnt be so creative and the potco team wouldn't want to add the same looking quest.... so good idea but too Ravens Cove-ish (ps i like the forbidden weapon part, maybe that could be a new class of weapons)

The whole idea, really, is to show how sinister Jolly really is, and how he's willing to destroy anybody that stands in his way. The quest would be short, similar to Raven's Cove, but instead of being offered to level 30 players, it would be offered to level 40 players, instead, and would offer a new set of weapons to players which are 10% more rare than legendary weapons, offering two unique skills, instead of one.

Anyways, I just think Disney needs to exaggerate how bad Jolly is, and have his end be something horrible, so that you get mixed emotions of, "He was bad, and did all these awful things, but dang, that was a bad way to go." I just think they could do a lot with jolly. Such as the Kraken dying, and jolly bringing it back to life as a pawn. That'd be pretty cool, IMO.

Um, lets not have anything more rare than legendary please. A lot of players have awful luck, and it would be unfair to release something that they may never get.

I would say the skills should be a weapon like somber demise..... Though it should take FOREVER to load ( break attack ) and it takes almost all of your health and voodoo...

There should also be invisible skill, Grants the user to become invisible

But if jolly is gone, how do we lvl up our pistols for noobies? :S
