Test Release Notes - August 26, 2010

Release Notes - August 26, 2010
  • Players no longer crash when logging out with a weapon equipped.
  • NPC ships once again can attack player ships that are within range of them.
  • Weapons now deal correct amount of damage in Pirate vs. Pirate.
  • Corrected Passive Skills, such as Parry and Dodge.
  • Fixed geometry on enemies, such as Spineskulls, Urchinfists and French Undead.
  • Veterans can now be booted directly from guilds.
  • Fixed weird transitions where sky would flash.
  • Fixed a crash when knocked out after fishing while on a fishing boat.
  • Fixed the Upgrade button on the login page in browser mode.
  • Simon Hornbow now stands in the Faithful Bride in Tortuga.
  • Fixed various client crashes when logging out.

Does "correct" mean that they will do the same damage as if we're fighting NPC enemies?? If so, PvP is going to be a breeze. Also, since they were on the PvP topic, why didn't they fix the invisible glitch!??!?! Arrggghhh!!

I don't think so, b/c if they fix that the way ur saying, then they MUST do the same for SvS, coz in SvS, cannons & broadsides do NO WHERE near the amount of damage u do in non-svs sailing. Damage done in SvS is sadly only like 25% of what non-svs damage is.

I think they fixed exactly like it says regarding weapons, so WoOt. Blades were not doing damage like they should be, they were doing way less. That is the reason why Fine Blade, Pirate Blade, Rusty Cutlass were considered PvP blades, coz even the Lost Sword was not even doing as much damage Fine Blade was. In fact like none of the famed or rare or common weapons were doing as much damage as the "unenchanted" blades w/Powerfull skill were doing in PvP.

& yah they do need to fix the invisible glitch, getting annoying having to open my weapon inventory just to put grenades into 1 of my 4 weapon slots ONLY so I can kill myself when I spawn invisible.

Wait, you can change your weapon belt in PvP... that never worked for me.

Yea, that invisible glitch is a pain.

I didn't think this was a bug, now it makes it even harder to plunder ships.
[*]Fixed geometry on enemies, such as Spineskulls, Urchinfists and French Undead.
This still hasn't been fixed even when I have send in at least a dozen or more feedback forms and a bug report.
[*]Simon Hornbow now stands in the Faithful Bride in Tortuga.
Who is this NPC Character guy?
