I dont remember anything coming out on a Monday.. maybe Tuesday... but most big updates such as these are things they would release on Thursday of Friday...

This is the longest Ive ever seen anything on test... pretty much everything is released during its first or second week after being released on test... this is going on its third.... even the inventory expansion with all its bugs and things to be removed and added didnt take this long. How many bugs can a few fish have?

It takes time to get almost 98% of the bugs out before it is released to Public servers.
Remember the Lost Weapons update? After the weapons came, there were many bugs left, like miscolored clothing on NPC enemies, missing Swamp and Forest textures, Lost clothing, and even locked pirates. So if you want Fishing to come out now, you will have to deal with Bugs that weren't taken out, which could crash the game, so we must wait. I actually went through the News section of the Website and saw Cannon Defense was put on Live 8 days after it was added to Test. This Fishing udate is 19 days in, meaning this is going to be a BIG update.

They're releasing all the Daggers with it too, proabably like they did with CD and the Voodoo Dolls, and all the new stuff with the Throwing Knives.

Looking good so far, most everything has been fixed, I'm not noticing any problems anymore. Very rarely is Live updated on the weekends but you never know...

Minor or not, if they're aware of the bugs now, they may as well deal with them before they're on Live. That's why they have Test, to deal with things like this, so that those on Live may enjoy the update even more.

Anyways, they've done a good job, and have fixed a lot. There are only a few things that need to be fixed before this is released, so I think it's safe to assume it will be ready in a week or so.

The new inventory system, and new weapons were released in March 25-2010, and the last test update for the inventory system was April 22-2010. Almost a month after the inventory system was released, all the bugs for it on test were fixed.

Fishing is a big update, but not as big as the inventory system. And just because one update is bigger than another, doesn't mean the smaller update won't have more bugs. You'd usually think that bigger updates mean more bugs, but that isn't always the case.

For all we know, once this new island can be landed on, and we can do a quest for it, it will have just a few bugs. We could get lucky, who knows. I'm just glad they're taking their time with this update, because if they don't, then the next update is only going to be worse, because according to Speedway Masters thread, this Ravens Cove quest will involve potions and fishing. You can't exactly do a quest which involves fishing if all the bugs for it aren't worked out.

I think they canceled Ship Of The Line not sure but i was on test when it came out was on a friends Ship of the line i was steering it

Ya i still play toontown Fishing is has been there for a while ( still more of a POTCO fan ) But fishing til October 31st? I dont think so. And btw ive been playing Toontown and POTCO about a month after they both came out So ik alot of what has happend over the years. All I know is that it better be a very good update with almost no bugs, if not no bugs after being on test for three whole weeks... I'm really steaming at this, I wanted to be fishing last week.

well i had sent an email about some things to disney and some how fishing came into the discussion and they said that they were taking so long in test because from now on there going to try and get almost all the bugs out before they come out on live thank god i have test even though i mastered fishing it still is really fun but i think it will be out on thursday or friday of this week hope fully. Tobad i go back to school.
