Release Notes - June 22, 2010
  • Adjusted speed and sizes of some Cannon Defense ships
  • Adjusted the health bars of some Cannon Defense ships
  • Long Pirate names no longer overlap each other on Cannon Defense results screen
  • Fixed a rare crash that occurred when playing in browser mode
  • Fixed an AI crash when using the aura from the Staff of Mists

Looks like some minor updates are finally up. Which means it is about time to get this live, and get to working on those islands.

There still many bugs yet to be fixed. (Most of it revolving around the teleporting/captain's permission feature)


1. You can't tp anyone who is not on the same server as you

The "Go To" button at the bottom of the card has been taken away. So if I want to teleport to someone, I have to switch server first.


2. Captain's Boarding Permission Bugs

From the 16th June Release notes:
  • When using the Profile Card to teleport to a pirate on a ship, it now respects the ship's boarding permission settings.
Even if my friend completely closes the ship, the little ship icon will still be beside her name when i pull up the friend list and I can still TP to her, regardless of the Captain's Boarding Permission.

3. TP to someone even after the permission has been changed, as long as you pull up their card right before they change the permission

If you pull up a friend/crew/guildmate's card before they even have time to change the boarding permission after launching their ship, you will see the "Go To" button and still be able to TP to their ship even after the boarding permission has been changed.

I suppose they have intentionally??? taken away the "Go To" teleportation feature in order to fix the ship permission bug however it has created more bugs and confusion. D should just revert the system back to how it originally was! That was when teleporting to the Captain's ship whom u do not have permission to board and it will alert you "You do not have the permission to board this ship"

Thats the weay you know its Big D mate. They do these things to make you think they are trying to fix things, but they are actually making more bugs to test us and our patience. That would be my best guess anyways. I still miss the days when you met a guy on Tortuga and click on his name, he boards a ship and practically moves miles and miles away, and you can still TP to him.

Recent fixes on test with the cannon defense mini games:

1) No more tp-ing to another pirate in a Cannon Defense game.

2) The game automatically kicks a pirate out after, more or less, 5 minutes of idleling.

3) If a pirate does not exit the game, nobody could enter the game (gets rid of the lock up problem caused by a pirate still being in the game after it ended)

4) At the end of the game, if you do not exit manually within 30 seconds, the game automatically send you back to the return points at the end of the game so others could enter a new game.

Bugs:

1) A pirate that does not shoot a single shot WILL STILL garner points, as much banknotes as you AND level up just by being in the game!! Even if the shots are missed, points are still awarded!

2) Getting automatically sent back to the return point at the end of the game prevents others from being able to teleport to you with the message "Sorry XYZ is in a cannon defense game at the moment" even if you're not in the mini game anymore.

3) Outfit that you're currently wearing gets messed up (revert to basic clothes) after playing the game.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but the other night I found myself unable to auto-run while holding a weapon. Every time I hit the button, nothing happened. However, when I hit it again without a weapon out, it was fine. The only way auto-run worked while I had a weapon out, is if I hit the button, then pulled a weapon out while running.

It's minor, but I don't remember it being like that.

Seems like they updated a little bit more again with no details. But on a side note, it looks like waiting for Test to udpdate is a thing of the past now...
