Problems with Bug Reports
Is it me or Disney just choose to answer only certain bug reports?
I have sent 2 bug report recently: 1) one is regarding my friend, where the pirate mastered sailing but last week, but it did not seem to register her reps and notoriety with the server and so the sailing level went back to lvl 25. 2) Another was today, begging them to place back navy ships etc. It just leads me to think that more complicated issue (eg: the bug report pertaining my friends pirate) are being avoided / ignored. Whereas for simple and known bugs like the second one, I was replied and asked for game logs (for diagnosing my computer) etc when apparently its a bug on their side and not my system. After you send a complete bug report, and attached the unnecessary log files Their standard advice - "The problem you reported may be due to an incompatibility between the graphics API you are currently using, and your video card driver. Enabling Pirates Online to use DX9 may resolve the problem. " Yup, whenever a bug happens its always our graphic driver's fault lol. This makes it really discouraging to send in anymore bug reports. |

2) What navy ships r u looking for? I just hop the navy flagships when i dont feel like sailing around hunting lol |

And about the sea, its just Disney forgot to place the seas with the navy and skeleton ships after the EITC Offensive GM Events, because the EITC are still aplenty. |

Yeah I have my own theories on this, but I'm not going there cause not only could I get in trouble everyone else here can get into some deeper trouble depending on how they would read it.They just kind of ignore my stuff too so yeah dont be discouraged.

or Disney's canned replies to problems with their game.I can only imagine how bad it would be to drop the last 5, hard fought levels of anything. Slogging your way through to level 30 just to wake up the next morning and find yourself reset back to level 25. ![]() Quote:

And not just "Navy". Monarchs. Again, how frustrating would that be now? Find me a Monarch flag ship please. And then help me board it TWENTY TIMES!?!?Well...If updating your graphics card fixes the "No Navy Ships" problem, then I am going to get a whole new graphics card. I am sure that will fix the whole "2 years without a significant story update" problem...Anyway, I get it. It sometimes feels that Disney is just mailing it in. Hang in there though. It feels like the "good stuff" is right around the corner.

Send in a bug report that the bug report system isn't working! Let them figure that one out!

I think all bug reports go to the circular file.... (in meaning) I've filed likely HUNDREDS at this point, re: bugs, recommendations, requests, glitches, issues, etc and have not had a single acknowledged or listened to.
Disneys developers are IMO amateurs, or understaffed, overworked, who knows. But for this to be a legitimate MMORPG something has to be done. Its the same issues - they dont listen to the players. They dont do fixes. They dont make changes ANYONE asks for. No new quests, no new weapons. Just same stuff thats been here since the beginning with some minor 'band-aid' additions to cease complaints for a brief period. Why have a report feature if they aren't going to READ THE REPORTS?! |

I have received several replies to inquiries or problems with my game. You can't expect to get a reply on everything when you are just reporting problems. I am guessing they log them and keep track of how many are reported. The ones with the higher counts seem to be what they fix. The give us release notes on what they have fixed.
This is like sending bug reports on test. We don't expect a reply we are just letting them know what is wrong in the game. I am sure somethings are easier to fix than others. I also got the graphics card on one of my DC's and after switching to DX9 I no longer have the problem. If I would have continued to have DC problems then I would have replied and gone from there. Response time was usually within 24 hours and that's good for most games. Captain Whale |

Well i'm happy for you and your success with the bug report system Captain Whale, but unfortunately, pretty much EVERONE else has a different case. I'm not saying that you're lying or anything, because who knows? You could just be 'The Chosen One'.

Kept wondering about this thread until I looked at the dates of the posts. Major updates with weapons, etc are being tested atm. Disney is listening to reports i.e.-pirate avatars are now back to the originals because of so many reports filed. Disney has just released a new set of updates for bugs that were reported. Yes, there are many reports filed that have not been addressed atm. But, Disney is hard at work IMHO trying to fix the bugs on test so the new releases can be put on open. It's like having a job that is very overwhelming. You have to decide what has to be done immediately & which jobs can wait. Just the way that I view things. Maybe some agree; maybe some disagree. But everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion.

A bug with the bug reporting system isn't good. They just might need a bug report for the bug report...
