Best ship type

I just wanted to get your opinion on best ship type (not based on class like war).

For me its the sloop. I prefer a fast ship.

Sloop - Fast and deadly.

In reality a Frigate can sink a Sloop, therefore better. But i chose Sloop because its fast and easily maneuverable.

Frigate - Stronger and more powerful than a Sloop, faster than a Galleon, more crew than a Sloop AND Galleon, and more cargo than a War Sloop. Its basically the hybrid of the ship classes, and besides, I've had my ole' War Frigate for over a year now. You really think I'd choose something over her?

I like the War Galleon. I usually sail alone and it can take more shots.

Eh, I hate all 3, if I walked into a shipyard, and the shipwright asked me, "Sir I'll give you any free ship you want regardless of size", I would take a 64 32lb gunned East Indiaman, with a Lateen headstay (Bow Sail), 4 main square rigged masts, and mini lateen sails between the main masts. (Aka clipper style.) However in POTCO, my favorite ship is that little dinghy off the right side of the Tortuga dock.

Well from seeing the new Goliath and our favorite Black Pearl in my first boss battle in my near two years of playing I think D could pull off some more good ships.One can hope.
