Cleave required for flourish?

When did this come about? I have an old toon that skipped cleave back in the day, he has the first two and flourish, cleave is not selected.

Did they change the setup in a patch so that you must have cleave to get flourish, or am I just missing something? If so, that stinks, cleave is a lousy special.

Thanks for the info in advance.

When they introduced Re-training fo weapons back a while ago - one of the "side efects" of that is that you could not skip on the sequenc anymore. Plus side was that all them messed up weapons from your first pirate could be fixed - the bad was any "skipped" options you couldnt skip anymore.

Ah, great....well, thats too bad, thats a game killer for me. Without the ability to skip the terrible skills combat becomes grating and much less fluid then before.

That was a huge mistake on their part IMO.
