Rumrunner’s Rally 2
By Roxy Redcrow – Clan Storm

Long have been the days that Pirates from far and wide have sailed the sapphire seas of the Caribbean smuggling ill gotten booty and the like, but one prized possession above all others seems to gain the most renown, the RUM. Swashbucklers willing to risk life and limb to procure such sweet ambrosia, show us that no cost is to high, no waters to treacherous and no cutthroat unwilling to savor a drop of that dastardly drink.

In honor of our salty forefathers a Rally shall be held as a tribute to the Mastery of their devious and daring adventures.

This is a Ship vs. Ship Race, Grand Prix Style

BECAUSE THIS IS A SVS COMPETITION, NO FIRING OF ANY KIND WILL BE TOLERATED BEFORE THE RACE HAS BEGUN! ANY SHIP CAUGHT FIRING WILL BE GIVEN A WARNING. A SECOND OFFENSE WILL BE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE RACE.

PLEASE DO NOT RUIN IT FOR OTHER PIRATES, THIS IS A REAL FUN EVENT IF WE CAN ALL FOLLOW THE RULES AND PLAY FAIR.

THE REFEREES AND LOOK OUTS WILL BE WATCHING YOU!

Objective:
Racers do 3 laps in a CLOCKWISE CIRCLE around the outside shores Port Royal and Tortuga, with The Neutral War Frigate “STORM KING” at Devil’s Anvil as the Starting and Finish line Gateway.
The First ship to cross the Finish Line on its THIRD lap wins the race.
You MUST COMPLETE 3 Laps to win the race.

The Neutral War Frigate “STORM KING” will get both teams in line then make for the south shore of Devil’s Anvil, VISIBLE to BOTH TEAMS on each side of Devil’s Anvil.
The Race will begin when the STORM KING fires her deck cannons sending a volley of FURY and FIREBRAND over the Starting Lines.

Referees & Look Outs:

2 Neutral Ships will act as a Gateway Starting Point: No French Ships may be fired upon until they cross the Starting Point and enter the course of “The Gauntlet”

2 Neutral Ships will act as a Gateway Finish Line or Goal Line: A French Ship has achieved Victory if they successfully cross the Goal Line with an intact ship.

Hopefully for next events the GMs of each participant guild can explain the event for each member of their guild rather than having to explain the event over and over. And BTW lag and freeze were my biggest enemies in today's event.
