Maybe it would be better to try and get to know these folks in game before you send them guild invites, to see if they fit in and they're the kind of pirates you want to hang out with. You'll get fewer to respond but I bet they stick with you.

Maybe try another server, too. Lots of Hijinks on Abassa.

My main pirate is almost level 39. When I go online I get like 3 or 4 friend requests and guild invites within like 2 minutes. I'm not inclined to respond to friend requests from pirates I don't know and I certainly don't want to change guilds. I would imagine most veteran players feel the same way.

maybe, you need more activities for lower level players (capture the flag and poker night are some of the krewe ones, and ye dont need to be a high level for those) also, you dont need high level people to have a good guild, to have a good guild, you need active players, willing to help, while polite aswell

I suggest what the others have said. Offer more activities that everyone can participate in, make up some (same ones over and over can turn dull to some), and above all... don't openly recruit on Abassa! People there normally just look to cause trouble, don't want to be in a guild long.. some of them just go to see how many invites they receive in a day.

Well from most of the advice I got , i have been able to get fewer people to stop leaving and round out the korsairs at 134 members and got more higher lvls and more activeness.

Thanks to all of you for the advice.

All great suggestions...but one thing I haven't seen mentioned is that it is quality not quantity that binds a guild together. All guilds have inactive players. But if a guild is set up with a solid core of loyal pirates, pirates who believe in the creed of the guild, others will become attracted to the ties that bind...so to speak. Real life does take preference, as we all know, and guild members can come & go, but the core will remain and the cycle will continue...at least IMHO.
