After thinking for a while I noticed those rooms are empty! So does this mean that with the release of guild halls that a craftsman store would have to come out as well so people can buy items to put in their guild hall. Such as a poker table or BlackJack table?

That's a good idea Chris.
If these "guild halls" do come out, we'll probably be introduced to building items. I'd like to be able to buy a long table that can be sat on by guild members. Maybe we'll even be able to start meetings and decide who comes and who stays. Hopefully they'll be organized with something like this. |

I'd like to see that as well mac. For my next trick, as soon as i take some pics of it, is the VIP room in a tavern. It's kinda weird, but it looks neat.

My point was that regardless of importance or members or date of creation, who is going to get a guild hall. To ME all guilds small or huge are important because they are of importance to their owners.
Now back to the thread... I can't wait to see those images Zeke. Last edited by Jack I; 06-28-2009 at 04:30 PM.. Reason: trolling/flaming |

For your viewing pleasure, the VIP room of a tavern.
Be warned, there's gonna be a few screenies. i'm giving u both the room itself, and the tavern, how it'd be connected. The first pic, is just the tavern with the door leading to it. As you can see, this room will, or would have been in that weird, unused door. The second pic, is a sideways view. As you can see, it's fairly big. The third pic, isa rear downward view. You can see the size, and the location fairly Pictures 4 and 5 are just views of the VIP room by itself. 4 is a head on view, and 5 is a view of the ceiling. |

The VIP room may have something to do with the party hat textures I found in the files.
I can't view any models right now. It's because pirates is using a panda3d version that isn't out yet. Once they release the new version, the current phase files can be viewed. If you copied the files from a month(or two, I think.) then you should be able to view them. Here's a picture of the party hats. The color of the roof in the VIP room looks like it could be a "party" room. Just a guess. |

Party hats lol.... I am just shocked at that, I understand the VIP hall... but party hats...really? That has me wondering what they could be used for....
I have not tried to explore any of the phase files, but how long have those been in there? I kinda had a thought those could have possibly been part of the 1 year POTCO anniversary and just were never used.... I could be wrong though, I usually am lol... Thanks for sharing, its a cool find. ![]() Larence Tuppington |

I guess you could say the phase files hold the "make up" of the game. There's models, textures, animations for models, and audio in the phase files. You'll find all the interesting things in the test phase files, though.
I hope they do something good with the party hats, though. Toontown has parties and if POTCO does... we'll, there better be rum involved! |

Love the idea of guild halls, additional buildings, etc.
However when it comes down to it, whats in the phase files and determining its application is alot of conjecture. Noone knows what the specific use is, or even if it will be used. Weve seen things in there before that never surfaced in the game. Then this thing about "VIP" "Guild Halls" whos going to get one, etc. This is all an the EXTREME side of conjecture, we have absolutely no idea. For all we know they would be available to everyone. And there is not any one guild more important than another. I dont care what guild your in, your guild is NOT more important than any other guild. Doesnt matter when it was created, how many members it has, how active it is, where they stand on any stupid leaderboards. Pirates are pirates... plain and simple. If anything it will hopefully come down to what you can 'afford' (ie in game economy, not more real money). |

I agree Zep. If they will be used in the way I think they will be, it'll be for those who can afford. I think they could use this, and the vip room on shipwreck island.
To hijack my own thread, here is how I see it. Shipwreck Island. TP Quest when you hit level 5. Simple go see Jack and you get it. It is an island for pirates, no. On the island. Usual items for a major island, taverns, shops, shipwright. But, option for guild areas. Would be a small area with shops and stuff, but there would be a guild tavern with the VIP room. It would be at the gm, or high officer's discretion on how it would be used at that point, party room, meeting hall, or off limits in general. Then, across the way, a hall stands, similar to the one on porc and avaricia (the giant tower they are drunk on). Inside, there is a guild hall. This, must be opened by an officer, as it is a hall, and can only be used for certain events. Total Cost: 65K, but the gm has to buy it. Figure, since most of us with a big guild have a ton of gold laying around. |
