So I realized many would appreciate a little tutorial on how to set this up for pirates. I'm going to post it here to bump for repeat readers, and edit the original post for those reading for the first time.
When you first download and install this program is not ready to be used on pirates. The default settings can be a little annoying. Here is what to do: First the short version cause I am about to release a torrent of instructions at you folks:
Now the long detailed version:

Thank you Rich.. I had to play with these settings abit when I set it up last week.
When I get home, I'll probably recheck my settings...compare them to your suggestions.

Thanks Again Richard! I think I may move a copy of this thread to the screenshot section and slap a sticky on it.

I have had a problem with the screenies I took during the SH last night. When I go to the screenshot folder, it says that it's a Corel Paint Shop Pro X image. When I dbl click in it it tells me that I must purchase that program for $60.00 to be able to see it. Has this happened to anyone else? It's like this Corel has stolen my screen shots. Richard, do you have a suggestion?
Thanks! Andrea

You may have downloaded the wrong program. Get the "PRINT SCREEN" one, it's free and easy.

Thanks so much for this! I have the little snipping tooley thing on my computer but just can't catch in the moment stuff, it has a terrible lag and the screen freezes while you select the image, but the games go on.
Can't tell you how often I've lost mini games on the hollow that way. An I had the worst trouble trying to get a shot of Will Turner with his sword and entire arm through Kat. No worries now! Thanks a million and a bottle a rum on me!

This may be a simple fix by just right clicking one of the pictures, hitting open with, then click choose program. From there you can pick a different program to open this file, and make sure you click the box that says Always use this program to open this kind of file. These instructions may vary some, but will be almost the same on any windows. |

Thanks, Rich!
Yes, it was something already on my machine without my actual knowledge. It's now gone! Thank you for your reply! Andrea

Gotta love computer vendors packing lots of useless expensive demo versions of programs on a brand new machine. I swear, if they would just send us the os, necessary programs, and nothing else, we might hate them a little less.
