BBK Anniversary Pocket Pirate Light Sloop Race
Pocket Pirate Caribbean Light Sloop Race...
Here are the rules: 1) you must have a Pocket Pirate...a P.P. is defined as the smallest pirate character you can possibly make...think Munchkins... 2) you can only sail by yourself in a light sloop... 3) you cannot shoot at enemy ships in hopes that they'll fire on any other racers close to you... 4) you must follow the course through and through...if you deviate we will know and you will be called out as a "scurvy bilge rat"...you might be askin yerself "how can they know I deviated?!?"...well the answer be rather simple...ye sees this race isn't just about sailing...no matey it be much more...ye has to port on certain islands as well...and on each of those islands will be a person ye has to run up to and gets the next "code word" before moving on to the next island... aye that's right..."code words"...at the start of the game everyone gets a code word...at each stop you get a new one...there will be 5 code words in all...once put together these 5 code words will make a sentence ye must use at the finish to be declared the winner...it's that easy...and if by some chance ye figures out the sentence and thinks ye can skip an island well then ye be thinkin wrong...dead wrong..."aaaaahahahahaha!!!" <--- Barbossa Laugh ( I do them a lot) 5) Have fun!!! Notice: Just so ye all knows...since the first race was not just a fun event but also a learning experience...I've decided to change how the code words work...after input from all the racers on how things were a bit slow in getting the new code word, this time around the judges will just be standing there with a question over their heads...the answer will be your "code word"...note though that you have to use local chat and say hi to the judge to be recognized as having been there...if the judge looks into their chat and does not see your name you are disqualified... Example Judge Question: What is another name for Broadsides? Answer is Cannons - Cannons is the "Code Word"... Savvy on this mates? - = The Race Layout = - Everyone will meet at Port Royal...the first 'judge' will be there to give the first 'code word', followed by the start of the race with the phrase "to your ships!"...all racers will board their Light Sloops...the judge will board whatever ship they have...once at the sail screen do not leave until the judge fires his broadsides and yells "GO!"... You will then set sail for Devil's Anvil where you will circle the island in a counter-clockwise loop around before sailing on to Tortuga...once you port make your way to the Thieve's Den for the 1st judge...once you get the next code word head back on out to the docks and set sail again... Once you leave Tortuga make way to Rumrunner's Island...the next judge will await ye in the underground basement...get your next code word...once received cast off again to Driftwood Island...when ye arrives seek out the next judge who will be standing by John Smith...get the code word from here then make sail again... Set your course for Cuba...you will find the next judge by Tia Dalma...once more get the code word...now ye should have 5 code words in all...now would be a good time to figure out the sentence because the next leg of the journey be a bit treacherous... Set your course to the final destination of Padres Del Fuego...once you arrive make way to the back beach to give the sentence to the judge who will be awaiting ye on the docks...cursed are those (aka disqualified) that try to swim around instead of going through the caverns of PDF... Give the correct sentence and ye be declared the winner of the race... Event Day is Saturday the 6th of June See Bart for time and what server NOTE: If still unsure of how exactly this race runs, please get in touch with Li or Bart or anyone who has raced before...also since Li won the first race she'll be one of the judges for the event...whoever won the second race will be a judge...you will need 3 more...if you're not up for racing yet still want to participate, then see Bart to be a judge... Again this is open to all BBK and all our friends...but you must be using a Pocket Pirate and a Light Sloop in order to participate... Unfortunately I might not be able to attend to help out due to having a rather large tree fall into my yard...which crushed my fence, etc...luckily nothing else was damaged as bad, but need to chop it up...I will try my best to pop on and help out in the morning... Ooh, I made two pirates for racing leagues, arms of the guild circuits, and I believe they fit your quota: Lightning Lick and... Greasy Grab was it? Either way, I think, I hope, I qualify as one of those friends.

For the purposes of the Anniversary bash, we will forego the requirement for a pocket pirate or a light sloop. You can use ANY of your pirates and ANY ship ye wish! Also, this is part of the BBK Bash, so ALL pirates are welcome and may participate, whether BBK or not.
See ye there!

I liked the idea of a little guy bash more. Seems reminiscent of the Running of the Pigs.
That, or the March of the Penguins. Anyway, I think the original theme should be adhered to if possible, but with no need to make any new account or anything. |

If ye have a Pocket Pirate and want to race with him/her--please do. If ye have a Light Sloop and want to race with it, please do.
But to keep this from being exclusionary, I am opening it up to ALL pirates so nobody who wants to race has to create a brand new level 1 or 2 pirate in order to race. And for those that have a war fleet, I don't want anybody to have to sell a War Sloop just so they can have a Light Sloop to race with. Please show and participate. We'll be conducting this event in conjunction with the rest of the Krewe events, so will either inform ye in-game of the location, or if yer not there we'll keep it updated here. Good luck to ye mateys and see ye there!

aww, i wish i would have been here earlier. to at least WATCH.
going through the caverns as a noob? sounds too hard. especially since either the first guard in beckett's quarry, the second in between the too areas, or the one when your heading to el sudoron always get you. Will there ever be another race lol? What i dont understand is "...note though that you have to use local chat and say hi to the judge to be recognized as having been there...if the judge looks into their chat and does not see your name you are disqualified.. what does that mean? |

in other words, if the judges dont see that u have said hi and gotten ur next clue, u cannt move on to the next stage of the race.
Yes there will be another sloop race in the future so stay tuned for updates on the next race |
