One of my pirates won't load
I had unlimited access and I had made 3 pirates, one of which made it to level 33. I stopped playing, so I stopped paying and went down to basic access. I didn't want to delete my account in case I picked it up again, and I did.
Well I couldn't open that one pirate with basic access and I figured it was just because my account couldn't handle a pirate made with unlimited (even though I was playing a pirate previously made on unlimited. The difference was that this new pirate hadn't completed any quests.) So when I upgraded to unlimited this morning, I hoped that I'd be able to play my lvl 33 pirate again. No such luck. It starts to load the Port Royal screen for a while, then the infamous box pops up saying that spiel about losing the internet connection. But I can still play my other pirates. Anyone know why this happens? I even tried a quiet server, but no luck. |

I have the same issue on #3 - I had to contact Disney Tech Support to have them review the account.
Now its happened to me twice - the first time it fixed itself with their next maintenance window - so you may want to wait for that first. Otherwise you'll need to call them and have them look intot he account to fix #3. |

Same as this problem http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...ad.php?t=10609 ?
You could contact the Tech people. I just figured that if I cause enough lag during the loading screen, then I don't get booted offline during loading. Until it becomes unbearable at least, I don't wanna contact them yet for my problem (I got the ame problem for 2 of my pirates) coz I heard that one of the reasons may be that you had resubmitted your pirate name many times after getting rejected during the naming phase to be approved and that the game was rejecting ur name afterwards, hence why a certain pirate gets booted at login. And that as the solution, Disney is gonna make you rename ur pirate with a generic name or something. Not exactly sure, unless you get a cool tech person that allows you to submit a name. One of my pirates had to be submitted 3x to finally get approved... And it'll probably be rejected if I were to have to rename my pirates... |

Yeah it's the same as that problem. When I sent in a bug report, they sent me back the standard, fix your connection answer when obviously that's not what's going on if two of three of my pirates play just fine.
EDIT: I was looking elsewhere on the site and someone mentioned dowloading Service Pack 3 for XP. It worked. Easy as pie. I had no problems loading my pirate and playing her. Yay! Last edited by Sarah; 05-19-2009 at 12:01 PM.. |
