Level 40 Reputation
Will reputation you have gained for quests/non-mastered weapons after reaching level 40 count if the notoriety cap is raised?

We all are hoping!

Actually, I hope not.
All the play I've done on my maxed pirates has probably stowed away a ton of "no-rep" rep. As much as I would like to know how much rep I haven't been getting, just to see the numbers, I would hate to log in after the caps are raised, only to find myself at or very near the cap again. (whatever that new cap may be) |

No Telling
There is no telling what formula they will use to accommodate mastered players if any at all. Many other games have used the one level rule when they pop their caps. Any player who has accumulated reps beyond their cap will be awarded their reps up to one level only. If you only put in a few reps that's all you will get but if you have put in enough reps to level up or more, you will only get credit for one level. Usually you log in and win one battle and you level up. That way no one has more then a one level advantage over any other players. Again that is speculation.

Well if they do raise the noteriety level.... they are going to have to raise the weapon levels i suppose otherwise no pirate will get that far after level 40.

I'm not "too concerned" about the extra collection - the numbers required to get from 40 to whatever (50 or 60) will be so large that the REP collected - may get you to 41 and change (cause it will be around 42,000 for the next level - and I don't think there's that much extra REP to be found)

I hope we get our extra rep. If all that extra rep didn't count, then I would feel like I mastered weapons AFTER reaching notoriety 40 for nothing - in fact, mastering weapons after mastering the pirate would have worked AGAINST me. It would be far easier to level weapons from 20 to 25 than say, 25 to 30.
If all that rep gets flushed down the toilet when the cap is raised, that means most of us have wasted time and effort leveling after we reached 40 - and it also makes it that much harder to reach the new cap. Unless the new cap is 41 or 42, I don't foresee the extra rep putting us at or near it. |

I've wondered the same thing.... I hope they make it so it does. It would be a nice little (sorry it took so long to get you this update) bonus.. lol

I doubt there is a way to track it as the rep shows up on screen as 0, I suspect the code or engine they use to display it based on the combat registers in the database with a nullifier. Or, uh I mean, no they'll probablly cheat you on it.

DxD used to display 'actual' rep amounts, and they were definately above the level 40 rep numbers so I believe they are still being tracked despite the 0's we see in the game. But like someone said, I dont think you would see anyone jump beyond level 41 or 42 at most... Most pirates tend to move to creating a new pirate once they master a pirate.
