Anyone else having trouble finding Alberto's Remains - 2 engraved pearls, by killing Rock Crabs. I've slaughtered hundreds of these things and nothing? I've reported it as a bug, but just wondering if I'm the only one? It worked fine in the BETA, but in LIVE it's driving me crazy!

You have to kill the Rock Crabs that are in the swamp on Tortuga (Misty Mire). There's one at the end of the bridge on the oceanside entrance, and one or two just over the bridge on the Rat's Nest entrance side.

I ran all over the place killing crabs in other places til I found this out. Once I concentrated on the right ones, I finished the quest in no time.

Took me about 8 kills of the Rock Crab in Misty Mire. Just wait for him to regenerate and pick him off. First one I got a pearl, then had to deal with about 7 more. Good luck.

The clue doesn't tell you to go to Misty Mire and my "arrow" pointed to the middle of Tortuga", but you're both right. Killing your Rock Crabs in Misty Mire is the key. It took 9, but I got both pearls! Thanks POF! Now I can get back in the game!

I don't understand. I'm still trying to find the chest they're buried in. Do crabs have something to do with the next step?

No, Mate! The chest with his personal effects are located on a hill in the smaller half of town in Tortuga, the one near the Kings Arm! YOHO

Aye mate, found it. I thank ye. Is there any sort of clue that it's there? I'm not terribly fond of running around an entire island diggings things up randomly.

*Update* Received the following reply from POC today 11/15/07 -

All players will receive a fix to this problem in an upcoming patch, which will be automatically downloaded and installed when released. Hopefully this will save future players the agony of realizing you have to complete the task in Misty Mire!

Sheesh I've had a bugged character on test since before it went to open, never get a reply and it never gets fixed. Must be your name...should we all chant "Redrum"? :P

Yes, i went from tree to tree all over Tortuga's jungles (by the undead) looking for Alberto's remains instead of checking here and seeing it was on a hill close to the gypsy! ug!

I found them buried near the pig next to Millie's cottage near Hendry Cutts.
