Cutlass Question!

What's the difference between a rusty cutlass and a steel cutlass? Do they do different damage, or better range or something?

Well, accuracy in the game appears to be determined by the general weapon level, pirate notoriety level, and the enemy level. Which varies some because of various weapon skills and how skill points may be arranged.

Harder to hit someone with a cutlass if they are maxed out on Parry for example.

The 'weapon' levels such as +2 +4 +6 etc.. generally refer to incurring damage, a standard that has been used a long time in RPG games.. computer.. dice.. etc.

Ok thanks. I remember when I started, I had no clue how to really play, and I just got my rusty cutlass and I ran up to a rock crab level 8 and I kept missing, and I was all like "What the?" and then I saw this other dude walk up to it and kill it...then I was really like "What the!? Why can't I kill this stupid thing!?"
