Fastest way to make money?

I just upgraded my acount and I can get those huge ships now but I don't have enough money for the really awesome ones. What is the easiest way for somebody to make money in the game?

Pick one of the following choices


*Defeat really high level guys like vetereans
*Get a galleon and fill it up with royal chests
*Be very lucky at poker (this is impossible)

Very frequent question

Basically it comes down to the following:

1. Sailing

a. Captaining your own ship with decent crew
b. Joining public ships

2. Playing Cards (if you have lots of cheat cards and are good at it)

a. Blackjack (Tutorial http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...ead.php?t=5941)
b. Poker

3. Defeating enemies

a. The higher level, generally the more they are worth.
b. Hang out at Kingshead and 'sweep' the pack (with cutlass) while another pirate levels their Voodoo Staff.

Don't forget that war class ships require sailing level 15.

Yeah that really bugs. I'm at like, 13 right now but I only have 5,000 gold so I won't even be able to afford one when I get to 15.

I have the money for a war sloop and the lvl but I still won't buy it because it seems weak

When I need money fast, I play Blackjack. If ye know what yer doing you can make more money faster than any other method.

I totally agree, but it usually takes a good collection of cheat cards to really rake it in. I've filled my pirates pockets with gold, this way many times.

To get my war galleon, I cheated at blackjack (but I did have over 100 cards) and played that mobile Cannons of the Deep game. It's an easy 1000 gold a day that takes about 10 - 20 minutes to get, whereas it would take at least an hour to do that in game.

lol or... you can use this glitch

first make sure you have at least 2000 gold

1. go to padres and buy a long plain vest

2. buy any color

3. exit the tailor screen completely

4. buy another long plain vest choose any other color besides the one you just bought

5. repeat step three

6.go to the 'my items' tab

7. click sell on both plain vests

8.click on 'store items' tab

9. repeat step 6

10. you will see that you are able to sell one of the vests again sell it again

11. repeat steps 6-10 to get yer gold


have fun with yer gold

P.S. i got a war frigate and a war sloop with this glitch

its not the cleanest way to get gold but it works

Don't become to reliant on this glitch; the glitch is fixed on the test server, which means any day now, an update could come out fixing this glitch. It can be helpful, but make sure you have the necessary skills to help your pirate get gold after this glitch is fixed. Don't want to be getting gold, then be devastated that its fixed, now do ye?

If you want my suggestion, try boarding a War Galleon (or going on your own galleon) that is sailing south of Outcast Island. There's tough ships over there, but I easily get between 300 and 1400 gold after one round trip. If you can, take advantage of Disney's newest procrastination; Crew Up Days.

Blackjack (Play on PDF - 500g per round, use Double-Down on 9,10,11)

Play Poker with rich friends - who don't mind losing.

And nothing like a little hard plunder work, like some have suggested. Going after the big daddies (Colossus, Black Harb, Juggy, Dreadnaughts, etc.) If you can get in a BIG crew where someone can keep you attuned while they board the Colo flagship - you will make some good booty.
