Infinite take-cover
Why doesn't Take Cover affect all the ships in the came way?
Recently I've become a regular svs'r. I am ticked when I can't sink a ship I know should be at the bottom of the sea. Question: Why doesn't take cover work the same for all ships? Mine lasts the time it's touted to and others seem to have been in effect for 15 minutes. How does it work differently for some? Thanks! If you were a booger, I'd pick you first

If something seems to be a glitch, it probably is. Take cover gives 100% invincibility in SvS (for everyone) but if it seems to be lasting 15 minutes, I think it's pretty safe to assume you've encountered a cheater.

I haven't tried nor tested this, but allegedly if you do TAKE COVER right as you are sinking, it persists until you log out or land.
Edit: tests tonight on TEST were unable to reproduce this particular method. Last edited by Edward Edgemenace; 02-13-2009 at 04:29 AM.. |

Tried the other method today without success. For any sailing skill, if not in full-screen mode on a Windows PC, you could type "Alt-spacebar" to activate the window context menu (pausing the game to induce blinking, or to prevent TAKE COVER from turning off.) Game used to remain paused until you pressed "Alt" again, to deactivate the menu.
When I tested it today, it simply made my ship inert. So either I'm doing it wrong, or they fixed that. |
