Old Problems I found on the Test

Problems I found on the Test

Some of my guildmates and I have tried out the PVP on the test server and we have found a few issues with it so far.

First - and this is a biggy - Mayhem is not working. You can try and send an invite but the recipient(s) do not get it.

Second - the Team battle there are big holes that appear in the walls, but this isn't consistent. It happens on the "wildwoods" battleground. There are big holes on each end, I have screenshots of it that.

Third - the pirates are not synchronized. What you see on your computer is not what they see. I was chasing down my jumping friend to attack, but he said he was chasing me. He hit me from far away, and my sword would go right through him while i was right up next to him. If i turned away from him I could hit for some reason. This needs a lot of work still.


When Sailing - I found the cannons would disappear. If i turned so I wasn't "looking" at them they would appear, turn and face them they would be gone. You can still get on them but your cannon is invisible and it's hard to aim your shots.

Another issue is with the Crew HUD. If i have my chat box extended my HUD dissappears until i minimize it and close it. And I don't know what that tab is that says Players on the friends panel. It was much better when the Crew Tab was there then it didn't matter if the Crew HUD was up.

The funniest thing I've seen is the soldiers that are in and outside the Jails. They look like dolls, all stiff and leaning up against the wall or the bench. And their heads are way too big for their bodies

I will add as I find more stuff.

O one other thing. I was healing a friend who was trying to get the Brigands for the Port Royal Teleport and just randomly, my pirate put her doll away. My friend died of course, cause i couldn't attune him again fast enough. I have heard a few other people complain of this as well.

Confirmed both test and live - my cannons are gone (and have several others tell me they have the same issue...)

Confirmed. I think this is an attempt by Disney to stop 'macro bots' - players that use macros from levelling weapons. If the weapon is not switched / put away then re-used in about 2 minutes - its just puts itself away... of course this makes it a TOTAL PAIN to be a group healer and have your doll 'disappear' leaving everyone to the wolves...

That - would be the poor guard in Cuba for sure he's just part of the bench now...

All of the things you describe are happening to me and many of my guild mates. It seems to happen more frequently recently. Cannons, barrels and crates are there just invisible but still usable and search able. The guards look like blow up dolls (not that I would have any personal experience with blow up dolls) SVS crew glitch is the most annoying. The pop up adversaries are not Poping up any more. This was particularly bad on Tormenta since one of the quests required giant crabs from Tormenta and they were not poping up any more. The last update put 2 static crabs there now so the quest can be completed. The pop up stump in outcast isn't working(was not as of last evening). The worst thing I noticed was that during the quest to obtain grenades the guards in Kingshead didn't attack you when you searched the crates and barrels. They could be standing right next to it and not move an inch to stop you. I did the quest unmolested in a very short time. I hope this is a glitch and not the new way they run that quest. The old way was challenging and forced most of us to bring friends along for support. It was one of the best quests in my opinion but now its reduced to pathetic.

This one's really bugging me! I grind weapons (in a fully legit fashion), and having them get put away automatically is really annoying (not to mention dangerous for my new little ones...).

I do want to stop macroing, but they've got to have a better way of determining it... Plus, isn't staff the big deal in that, anyway?

That matches my theory about why they implemented it, too. HOWEVER, it happens at maddening time intervals, regardless of weapon changes. Standing in Governor's Garden ranking, I switch from pistol to cutlass two to four times per minute, yet it will randomly put my pistol away at the worst of times. I generally am moving around a little too; seems to be a defect that kicks in when you haven't had a scene change (door/TP/tree tunnel) in a while.

I have seen some wild things going on also in wild woods, probably something to do in the conversion to pvp.

As for synchronization in pvp, that has been that way for a long time. Convenience of a couple accounts and two computers next to each other really can show how out of whack this area is.

Also seen the new custom cannons we got, some post here I have a picture up.

Rarely, but maybe just the recent patch I have put the weapon up. Through all these latest ones though I have had pistol quit firing and caught with reloading constantly. In all, probably one of the worse bugs in the game I have seen to common game play. I sure hope they weren't attempting to do nothing again to the real reason (macros), at the cost to everyone else, by doing this on purpose.
If this is so, I find it ridiculous from what I have seen in game. The other day as my pistol would lock up, I saw a character swinging cutlass on a boss non stop and while it was gone until a new spawn. Not once did I see the cutlass get put up.

If the report mechanism had a "Cheater" or "Macro" button, would you have reported that person? That would be a better approach, methinks. The way REPORT works now, calling that person "Rude" might get your reports ignored.

Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to track the number of attack hits vs. misses. Whenever the misses exceed a threshold, alert a moderator to pop in for a review...

Or better still, don't spawn anything in single spots.

I have had two computers up and multiple pirates logged and seen this synch problem and I know it's been an issue in PVP for a while. I mainly threw it in because it's still not addressed.

Found out at Lunch Time today that the "Doll" soldiers are back to normal as of the maintenance done last night. That's all I was able to tell so far while trying to do my Doll quest really quick in a short time =). Will be exploring what other fixes may have happened later tonight.

I've experienced the disappearing cannons quite a few times on regular site since the updates. It's like now ya see them now ya don't. I have to tp off and back onto the ship in order to make it right.
I've only been on test site a couple times, so far, but I have noticed the missing barrels and crates in Fort Charles. You see the green circles but that is it. You can still search though...which I guess is a good thing.

In this case it was nothing to do with what I was after for a quest at the time, just same area. (Maybe even testing if this system works, who knows on test with this individual)

Two things I found on this, my pistol would stop, while this guy kept going endlessly. Two different creatures.

A future minor money bug if it becomes popular. One hit to the boss someone else is hitting results in like 40 gold. Though it can pull on you, near death a level one guy could do this, with only factor being able to land a attack once.

So I see a few bad combinations here. Others trying to always land a hit on something like this others are fighting with such a big profit. Also regular game play seems to be effected to weapon drop, but not continuous use in something possibly a macro.

I have also noticed some missing things, off the top of the head the scorpion that has been glitched on back side of Padres. It was spawning, now seems to be gone.

Last night led to some new discoveries.

1. The soldier inside that Padres jail is a "doll" so they are not all fixed.

2. Mayhem is working now and there seems to be less lag - but it's apparent I still need a lot of practice =)

3. Team battle - In a previous post I made in another thread I said there were big holes in the walls in the "wildwoods" battle ground. I was mistaken. It is in the other battleground. I decided to take the plunge and go thru one of these "holes". It took me into a very strange land. It was like an empty hilly field. I didn't venture into that land, instead i turned around to see what was behind me. It was a cave entrance. I went back thru the cave to see if it would put me back into the PVP, but instead it put me on Cuba (where i first accepted the PVP invite). My friend was still in the PVP and he said my name was still showing on the PVP as if i was still in it. It did not result in one of those ever so dreaded PVP glitches, it just brought me back to the "real" world. We tried to get that "battleground" again so i could show him but after another 5 attempts and me getting tired of losing we switched to mayhem for a bit to test out all the old ways of doing the PVP glitch.

4. SHIPS/SAILING - Boarded a couple flag ships with a friend and there was hardly any lag but he was complaining that he kept freezing for short periods, I had no issues with this. While on his ship all the cannons were visible so I thought this was fixed but then when we went on my ship, I found that some pirate must have come and stolen my cannons. The bugger.

5. I am also very pleased to see a lot more Corvettes out on the water. It makes getting that lvl 15 cutty quest a bit easier to do, but they should really say it's 30 vettes you need since the first 15 or so don't seem to count. Same with all those other ships, gets discouraging when you keep seeing "Not Found".

I have used my cutty continuously in a hack session and not have it dropped. But for some reason it's the Doll I have the issue with. When I am healing I am using it continuously and a lot of times i have to attune the creature too to help in it's demise. So even with continuous use, it still gets put away randomly. The connection i'm starting to make is that so far it seems to have happened just after i said something in chat. It is never consistent, but that is what I'm watching for, to see if there is a connection there. Sometimes we are chatty during training, and sometimes really quiet. Lately it's been chatty sessions. I will have to set up a training session and see.

As to things missing, have you noticed that the SVS battlefield is gone? They can't fight on land anymore like they were since that last update. Also there was a dread scorp that used to spawn on outcast that went missing for a while and he's back to spawning again.

My pistol gets put away regardless of chat (a couple sessions, no chat at all.) I doubt I'll be doing Gov's Garden again until after the "Edward Lowe Challenge" thing, but I do recall at least one occasion with no chat at all, but pistol being holstered "for me."
