Not really, but we all dream of hitting the lotto, right?

What would you do if you just hit the jackpot. After all taxes paid, you had 100 million sitting in your bank account?

What would you do first? No generic "I'd take a vacation" stories. I want something tangible.


It's good to dream. I think I would:

1. Hire a good tax accountant and tax attorney

2. Have the accountant and attorney set me up as a corporation or similar entity to reap tax benefits.

3. Have the accountant and attorney pay off all my debt, my immediate family's debt, and then deal with the "family" and "friends" that crawl out of the woodpile when they find out I hit the jackpot.

4. Have the accountant and attorney assist me with investments such as annuities and properties.

5. Set up a charity fund to donate to causes I feel are worthy.

6. Set up a trust fund for my future grandchildren to be paid contingent upon graduating from college.

7. Buy two "personal" properties:
a. Downtown Dallas - so I don't have to go far to get home from a night on the town
b. Ranch property in Tarrant or Denton county to go relax on.

8. Season tickets to the Boys, Stars, and Rangers games (no suite, I want to be with the fans) for life.

After that, I'll take it as it comes.
