Help, my ship is holding me hostage!

As of today, I'm having one heck of a time getting out of my ship. Currently I'm running a quest from rum runner island so this is proving to be quite a nuisance.

I've only been successful at leaving my ship once today. Thought I had narrowed down what was happening (I thought it was linked to the "full sail" ability because I had sailed to RR island without using it and was able to leave my ship normally) but the second time I made sure I didn't use that ability I couldn't leave my ship normally. I usually (in trying to leave the ship) end up in floating limbo...

*sigh*

I'm wondering if others are having or had this problem, and if there's anyway around it besides teleporting to an island.

I have had intermittant issues with "floating" in mid air when trying to get off my ship. Last time it happened I think I brought up the ship panel and returned the ship, which landed me in the water and I could then swim to shore.

Hehe, when I did that, I went to where ever it is out ship goes
I was still on my ship but in a empty area with some sky.

I may have figured out what has been causing it, need to do some more testing (tomorrow as it's too late now) But it may be because of me trying to enter my ship as soon as it "spawns" (where I'm facing the direction it is facing and I am not facing it). I've been making sure I enter my ship when I'm facing it and have been okay for now.
